Berufsbildungsheim Neuhof, Birr, Eva Bertschinger

Location: Birr, Canton Aargau, Switzerland, Berufsbildungsheim Neuhof (Technical School Neuhof).
Project: A meeting point was created on a central meadow for students living in the school’s four houses as part of a new building project.
Concept: A round, oak wood platform symbolizes a village square in a meadow between the four houses and a central building. The wood used in the project came in part from the school’s own inventory, in part from the local communities of Birr, Brugg Brunegg, Lupfig and Scherz as well as the firm of Holcim. All material was provided free of charge. Students from the school’s workshop did most of the manual and craft work.
